The Madras Development Society (MDS) was founded in 1981 in Chennai (formerly Madras). MDS' primary objective was to be an instrument of change in the society by empowering communities with knowledge and information.
Since the foundation MDS has organized several programs of value to the communities among various target segments. As we stand at the start of a new century, MDS strongly believes its values and objectives are more relevant to the society than ever before. MDS is committed to reaching out to the wider community - the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed and the voiceless - with more vigor. See more on: www.mdsindia.net
